Welcome! To 'The Pinstripe Chronicle' - a blog dedicated to the New York Yankees!
Hello and welcome to the site! This is my first shot at writing a blog, so I appreciate everyone's patience as I get used to continually writing and running a site like this.
I have been a baseball and a Yankees fanatic from as far back as I can remember. Following players like Don Mattingly to Derek Jeter to Robinson Cano and beyond, I was (and still am) obsessed with this team. I always try to follow each and every game in some capacity, when life allows.
I grew up in Rotterdam, New York - a small town in Schenectady County, so the Bronx was just a short 2 and a half hour car ride away, and I was fortunate to catch a game at least once a year. Now I am based in the Orlando, Florida area so I don't get to visit the Stadium like I used to, but the Yankees remain a major part of my life.
As a kid (and to this day), baseball remains something I am deeply passionate about - my wife can attest. That passion has expanded from just the Yankees to the game of baseball as a whole, and I have garnered an appreciation for all that this sport has to offer.
Now, as you probably already have surmised, I am NOT a professional writer - I do not have a degree in writing nor do I get paid to do this... yet. The purpose of this site is to discuss the Yankees and baseball for fun, so let's try and keep it that way. I would like to share my thoughts and ideas with other fans who are open to having an honest discussion about the Yankees and baseball as a whole .
I am going to start with writing some articles (when I can) and hopefully expand this to other social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter for a more real-time experience. What is most important to me is the ability to interact with other fans, to start open discussions and to hear your thoughts about what is going on inside Yankee Universe.
All I ask in return is if you can keep the discussions and comments appropriate to the subject matter - I would like Yankee fans of all ages to feel comfortable participating here.
